Abstract

This memo contains a table of commonly occurring headers in headings of e-mail messages. The document compiles information from other RFCs such as RFC 822^std11(-> 2822^prop), RFC 1036, RFC 1123^std3, RFC 1327(-> 2156^prop), RFC 1496^hist, RFC 1521(-> 2049^draft | 2048(-> 4289 | 4288) | 2047^draft | 2046^draft | 2045^draft), RFC 1766(-> 3282^draft | 3066(-> 4647 | 4646)), RFC 1806^exp, RFC 1864^draft and RFC 1911(-> 2423^prop(-> 3801^draft) | 2422(-> 3802^draft) | 2421(-> 3801^draft)). A few commonly occurring headers which are not defined in RFCs are also included. For each header, the memo gives a short description and a reference to the RFC in which the header is defined.
